Distance runners, jumpers pace Park track

Park distance runners Eli Firchau won the 1,600-meter run in 4:43.03 and Gavin Staufer finished first in the 3,200 in 10:15.90 to highlight the Tom Moore Invitational at Woodbury High School Thursday.
Park’s Skyler Morgan (first, 41-07.5), Bryan Wright (second, 41-00.25), Eyuel Miftah (fifth, 38-01), Miskir Esayas (seventh, 36-11.75) and Daniel Boesch (10th, 36-04.5) all placed in the top 10 in the boys' triple jump.
Park athletes swept the high jump. Hazim King won the boys event at 5-8 and Rainna Jameson won the girls high jump, clearing 5-6.
The Wolfpack girls finished 1-2-3 in the discus, led by Karis Waindim (92-07), Zoey Bammert-Muller (92-05) and Alayna Luu (85-05). Aaliyah Hoffart got ninth at 66-06.5.
Girls' results
Elizabeth Ayala placed second in the 100-meter hurdles in 19.06. Sharon Oni was seventh in the same race in 21.02 and Marin Kirch ninth in 21.12. Ayala was ninth in the 300 hurdles in 1:01.13.
Zoey-Bammert-Mueller was second in the shot put (30-09) and Pajyeeb Kong fifth at 27-04.
Vanessa Suh was fourth in the 100-meter dash in 13.90 and Ameenah Alowonle 10th in 14.06. Kalin Randrup finished third (1:06.59) in the 400 and teammate Caroline Faust was seventh (1:09.92). Hailey Kieffer was 10th in the 200 in a time of 29.68.
Park was second in the 4x200 relay in 1:51.36, second in the 4x100 in 51.76 and third in the 4x400 ion 4:27.35.
Annelise Faletti was third in the triple jump at 32-10.5, Vanessa Suh seventh at 30-06.
Jameson finished fourth in the girls long jump with a best of 15-03. McKayla Annan was ninth in the high jump at 4-6 and Elisa Mellingen 10th at 4-3. Mellingen tied for 10th in the pole vault at 5-0.
Boys' results
Dominic Jenkins took third in the 400 in 54.42 and Cooper Williams finished sixth in 56.47.
Park won the boys 4x100 relay in 46.45. Park was second in the 4x800 relay, finishing in 9:35.39. Park teams finished first (1:33.49) and second (1:40.42) in the 4x200-meter relay. The Wolfpack team was second in the 4x400 in 3:37.52.
Jack Weir ran seventh in the 800 meters in 2:13.19. Park had five runners place in the top 10 In the 3,200, Henry Joa was third (10:40.10), Benjamin Paulsen fifth (11:47.58), Samuel Craig sixth (11:48.71) and Dylan Renelt ninth (11:59.93).
Quennel Cooper (22.08), Ryan Cramer (22.53) and William Prunick (23.97) finished seventh, eighth and ninth, respectively, in the 110-meter hurdles.
Skyler Morgan was third in the long jump at 19-04. Torwon Dahn sixth at 18-06, Daniel Boesch seventh at 18-02 and Bryan Wright ninth at 17-08.5.
Taran Blasy finished fifth in the shot put at 39-06 and Aidan Boche was eighth at 37-07. Boche was sixth in the discus at 99-11.75 and Daniel Boesch 10th at 94-04.25.
White Bear Lake Invitational
Park junior Rainna Jameson was second in the long jump (16-1.5) and placed seventh in the 300-meter hurdles in 55.89 in the White Bear Lake Invitational on April 18.
Senior Annelise Faletti was fourth in the 400 meters (1:06.86), finished fifth in the 200 (28.41) and was fifth in the triple jump (30-11).
Hailey Kieffer finished sixth in the triple jump at 30-10 in a new PR. Madeline Finstad was eighth in the 100 meters (13.83). Junior Zoey Bammert-Mueller took fifth in the discus (89-10) and finished ninth in the shot put (29-7.5). The Park team of McKayla Annan, Alayna Luu, Grace Faletti and Paige Samuel was seventh in the 4x200 relay in 2:10.36.
Park was seventh in the girls' team race with 33.5 points. Roseville won the meet with 235.75 points.
Park hosts a boys and girls home meet at Wolfpack Stadium on Thursday, May 2, starting at 4 p.m.
