Lacrosse team scores 12-8 victory

Sophomore Zachary Devaan scored three goals as host Park took down visiting Forest Lake 12-8 in boys lacrosse Wednesday.
It was Park’s first win since the season-opening victory against Holy Family. The Wolfpack improved to 2-3 on the season and 1-2 in the Suburban East Conference.
Park led 4-1 after the first period, 6-3 after two and 8-6 after three.
The Wolfpack had a balanced scoring attack with six different players scoring. In addition to Devaan’s three goals, Bradley Johnson, Angelo Cullen, Evan Foote and Colin Thao had two each while Samuel Reckinger had one.
Park sophomore goalie Gavin Sand stopped six of 23 shots by the Rangers to get the win in the net.
Park plays at conference leader Stillwater (4-0, 6-0) Wednesday, hosts Roseville (0-4, 1-4) Friday and then Simley (0-3) on Monday, May 6, all three games starting at 7 p.m.
