Boys travel east to face Wausau West, Newman Catholic in hard fought games

Next game is against McDonnell at Chippewa

It didn’t quite go as ideally wished, but at least there’s tomorrow to turn things around.

In a series of fast and hard fought games over two days at Wausau West, the Oriole boys varsity came away with 79-48 against Wausau West (in Wausau West’s favor) and 81-64 against Newman Catholic, in Newman Catholic’s favor. Coach Tom Hause was not without praise, however.

“Henry Hoel had a nice tournament for us and was named to the all-tournament team and received a plaque,” Hause said of the weekend's outcome at Wausau. Additionally, Landon Karlen led for points playing against Newman Catholic, with 17 for the game. Hoel led against Wausau West with 17 game points, followed by Brady Potaczek at 14 points over all..

The Orioles boys face off next with McDonnell on December 2.
