32, Red Wing, Minn., pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond on an operating while revoked (alcohol related) charge Dec. 22. A pre-trial conference is set for 11:30 a.m. Jan. 20.

Cory Levan Tyson, 24, River Falls, posted a $2,500 signature bond on battery and disorderly conduct charges Dec. 27. A pre-trial conference is slated for 10:30 a.m. Jan. 27.

Closed cases

OWI-second and operating with PAC (second) charges against Larry Edward Byland, deceased, formerly of Hastings, Minn., were dismissed Dec. 28. The charges resulted from a July 5, 2001 traffic stop.

An operate without valid license (second within three years) charge against Mandy J. Costley, 41, last known address Ellsworth, was dismissed Dec. 28. The charge stemmed from a Dec. 13, 1999 traffic stop.

A felony battery or threat to judge, prosecutor or law enforcement officer charge against Kevin Roy Dunning, 62, Prescott, was dismissed Dec. 28 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge was related to a March 14, 2020 incident.

An operating while revoked (second within five years) charge against Douglas C. Ellis, 63, last known address Hastings, Minn., was dismissed Dec. 28. The charge stemmed from a Nov. 18, 2001 traffic stop.

Brent Hase, 25, Elmwood, was convicted of felony neglecting a child (no harm and child under 6 years or disability) on Dec. 22, sentenced to three years’ probation and fined $518. A second felony neglecting a child (no harm and child under 6 years or disability) charge was read-in but dismissed. The charges resulted from an April 17 incident.

An operate without valid license (second within three years) charge against Mark Gregory Hatfield, 70, last known address Hager City, was dismissed Dec. 28. The charge stemmed from a June 25, 2000 traffic stop.

OWI-third and OWI-BACthird charges against Robert Lee Henderson, 58, last known address South Houston, Texas, were dismissed Dec. 28. The charge resulted from an April 8, 2001 traffic stop.

OWI-second and OWIBAC- second charges against Charles M. Lege, 66, last known address Hastings, Minn., were dismissed Dec. 28. The charges stemmed from a May 21, 2000 traffic stop.

An OWI-fourth charge against Dale M. Niemi, 61, last known address Cottage Grove, Minn., was dismissed Dec. 28. The charge resulted from an Oct. 29, 2001 traffic stop.

An operating while revoked (second within five years) charge against Martin Reyna, 48, last known address Red Wing, Minn., was dismissed Dec. 28. The charge stemmed from a May 19, 2001 traffic stop.

An OWI-second charge against Paul Roy Seaver, 44, last known address Rochester, Minn., was dismissed Dec. 28. The charge resulted from an Aug. 18, 2000 traffic stop.

OWI-second and OWIBAC- second charges against Scott David Shipley, 57, last known address Lake Havasu City, Ariz., were dismissed Dec. 28. The charges stemmed from a Jan. 7, 2001 traffic stop.

OWI-second and OWIBAC- second charges against Paul Lee Swanson, 54, last known address Prescott, were dismissed Dec. 28. The charges resulted from a Sept. 17, 2000 traffic stop.

Long Vang, 23, Menomonie, was convicted of operate without a valid license (second within three years) and fined $443 Dec. 22. The charge stemmed from a Dec. 19, 2020 traffic stop.

Jeremy Lee Zaborowski,

41, River Falls, was convicted of OWI-second, sentenced to 30 days in jail (20 days stayed), ordered to install an ignition interlock device for 12 months after a 12-month driver’s license revocation, ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment and fined $1,429 Dec. 21. An operating with PAC-second charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from an April 17 traffic stop.
