RED WING, Minn. – Plum Creek Quilters will present the 15th Annual Quilt Show at Sargent’s Nursery in Red Wing, Minn. Jan. 7-9. This event is hosted, on alternating years, by either Plum Creek Quilters or Evening Star Quilt Guild of Red Wing.
The event features more than 200 pieced, applique and challenge quilts and six vendors with exciting new ideas, supplies, and projects. Hourly door prize drawings will be held, including a giveaway for a vibrant “Rock Star” quilt made by the hosting group’s members. This quilt will be on display during the show, and the $5 admission fee will give all in attendance an opportunity to enter the drawings.
The Plum Creek Quilters group was established in 1987 and is primarily made up of women from Pierce and Pepin counties. Over the years, they have created and gifted comfort quilts for many families in the area who have lost their homes to fire or experienced other crises. Many members have also created quilts for the Quilts of Valor program, which gifts quilts to service members and veterans.
The Plum Creek Quilters enjoy working together to share their knowledge and ideas in the art of quilting, to help benefit people in need and to enrich their own talents.
The Plum Creek Quilters look forward to displaying their love of quilting in 2022 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7 and Satuday, Jan. 8 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9.
Quilters have wonderful ideas and stories to share about their own quilting adventures and you are invited to attend and learn, grown and enjoy! Many quilting stories are sure to be shared among new friends. We invited you to attend and enjoy the incredible quilts in the natural light and warmth of Sargent’s beautiful greenhouse.
