Gymnastics sweep Cretin-Derham Hall

Park went 1-2-3 in the all-around Friday as the Wolfpack soared past Cretin- Derham Hall in girls gymnastics.

Park’s Leah Smith won the all-around with a score of 34.675. Emily Dahlstrom was second with a 33.8 and Rainna Jameson finished third with a 33.475.

The Wolfpack won the dual meet 134.70 to 115.05.

Jameson (vault, 8.950), Smith (bars, 8.675) and Dahlstrom (beam, 8.550) each won an event outright Friday. Jameson also finished tied for first on the floor with a score of 9.025, which also tied for the best score of the meet.

Smith was second on the vault (8.8) and beam (8.3), and fourth on the floor (8.9) in addition to her win on bars.

Dahlstrom also had a standout night, scoring in addition to her winning beam routine. She was third on the bars (7.9), second on the floor (8.95) and fifth in the vault (8.4).

Jameson was second on the bars (8.050) and sixth on the beam (7.450).

Park’s Natalya Rugel finished fifth in the allaround with a score of 32.0.

Park went 1-2-3 on the vault with Rugel and Ashley Lentz tying for third with scores of 8.775. Rugel was also third on the beam with a 7.850.

The Wolfpack travels to the Lakeville North Invitational mega-meet Saturday with gymnasts from 17 teams competing.
