All Washington County Library branches will be closed on Monday, Feb. 20 for President’s Day. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Featured Events Fine Motor Friday: Shape Mouse Friday, Feb. 3 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Join us for activities focusing on your child’s fine motor skills. Children aged 3-8 and their grownups will enjoy several activities including at least one take home art activity. Registration is not required. Building with Bricks Monday, Feb. 6 from 1:15 to 4:15 p.m.

Join fellow brick masters to build whatever you can imagine! Recommended for children aged 4 and above. All children under 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. No registration is required.

Open-Ended Art for Adults Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This month, use yarn and cardboard to make colorful yarn art. No in-person teaching instruction is provided during this program. It’s a great way to get together with friends or to meet someone new in the community. Registration is required. Register in person, online at WashCoLib. org/Events, or call 651-459-2040.

Fine Motor Friday: Paper Quilting Friday, Feb. 10 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Join us for activities focusing on your child’s fine motor skills. Children aged 3-8 and their grownups will enjoy several activities including at least one take home art activity. Registration is not required.

Toddler Drive-In Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.

This special storytime focuses on vehicles. We will spend time creating our own cars, singing songs about vehicles, and watching a few short videos featuring vehicles. A selection of books and materials will be on display for you to check out to bring the vehicle fun home. All activities are designed to strengthen fine and large motor skills in a literacy-rich environment. Recommended for developmental ages 2-4. Registration is not required. Game Day Gathering Saturday, Feb. 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Adults are invited to drop in for game day at Park Grove Library. Play a quiet game of chess, interact in the wildly entertaining game of Apples to Apples, try out strategy games like Ticket to Ride and Carcassonne, or try your hand at card games. No registration is required.
