Park dropped Cretin-Derham Hall 7-5 in a clutch game played Wednesday, May 17, to earn a share of the Suburban East Conference girls lacrosse championship for 2023.

Shelby Hansen’s four goals and Josie Leonard’s three paced the Wolfpack to the big win.

Park finished 8-1 in the conference, sharing the title with ninth-ranked Stillwater, which also finished 8-1. Cretin-Derham Hall finished 6-3 in the conference.

Park defeated Stillwater 6-5 during the regular season but lost in an upset to Woodbury the game before.

Aubree Laska got the net win for the Wolfpack, stopping nine of the 14 shots she faced.

The Wolfpack routed visiting St. Paul Academy in the team’s highest scoring game of the season at Cottage Grove Thursday, May 18.

Josie Leonard, Madi Brinkman and Shelby Hansen each scored four goals to pace the Wolfpack offense. Berlyn Giddings and Mcleah McMorrow had two goals each. Sydnee Nelson, Morgan Leick, Ava Reckinger, Lily Anderson. Kyra Stofer and Megan Husaby had one goal apiece.

Lauryn Ehrenstrom and Aubree Laska split the duties in goal but didn’t have to work much as St. Paul Academy had just one shot on goal. The Park defense took care of the rest.
