Enjoy a night in nature on Friday, May 26 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. with a Dodge Nature Center Naturalist at Shepard Farm. Discover how animals are masters when it comes to hide-and-seek. Participants will learn the strategies animals use to camouflage themselves in plain sight and test their seeking skills on those that want to stay hidden.

“Our Wild Neighbors” is a family friendly monthly event that runs through Summer 2023. Each month focuses on a different program about one of the delightful animals that live near you. Participants should bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair and meet at the pavilion at Dodge’s Shepard Farm property.

This event is free to the public. Online preregistration is required at www.dodgenaturecenter.org/event, and registration typically closes the day before the program at noon. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free parking is available.

Can’t make it this month? The next “Our Wild Neighbors” event will be held on June 9.

Shepard Farm, located at 8946 70th St. S. in Cottage Grove, was acquired by Dodge Nature Center in 2013 from the Wilder Foundation. It has been adapted by Dodge to serve as an agricultural and environmental education venue for Washington County.
