The Wolfpack finished with 15 wins and earned the No. 2 seed in the Section 3AAAA playoffs. Section games will be held this week.
Park 15, Irondale 0
The Wolfpack easily dispatched visiting Irondale, winning 15-0 in girls softball at Cottage Grove Monday, May 15. Park defeated Irondale a combined 21-0 in two games this season.
Stella Fritsche and Makenna Gross combined in the pitching circle to shutout Irondale as the Wolfpack celebrated their Senior Day in front of a packed house. Emma Ambroz, Noelle Krumrie and Lauren Strom all drove in runs as Park racked up 19 hits in the rout.
Stillwater 3, Park 0
No. 5 Park could not knock off the second-ranked Ponies in a showdown Suburban East Conference game, falling 3-0 at Stillwater Wednesday, May 17. Stillwater won the SEC with a record of 16-2 in the conference and 17-3 on the season.
Park 2, East Ridge 1
The Wolfpack closed the regular season with a 2-1 win over host East Ridge at East Ridge on Thursday.
Park finished third in the SEC with a 14-4 conference record and stands 15-5 on the season.
East Ridge was 7-11 in the league and 8-11 overall.
Park boys tennis falls to Woodbury
“I am so proud of the boys tennis team today (May 15),” said Park head coach Tony Townsend. “We came up short with a 3-4 loss to Woodbury, but battled until the end in a fantastic section match.”
Wolfpack boys’ lacrosse team goes 1-1
Park 20, Simley 7
Angelo Cullen and Christopher Wilson each scored four goals as Park routed host Simley in a non-conference boys lacrosse game at Inver Grove Heights Monday, May 17.
Brenden Bloedel scored three goals and had two assists for the Wolfpack. Isaac Thompson had a pair of goals for Park. Blake Bestler, Gunnar Mullen, Bradley Johnson, Colton Porter each knocked in a score.
Jacob Donlin and Branden Karnitz shared the win in goal, stopping 7 of 14 shots.
