Why Rick Hansen for State Assembly District 53B?

I am asking for your vote during these unprecedented times. We need a problem- solving approach in the Legislature to tackle the challenging issues to move Minnesota forward. There is much work to be done.

· Climate change is affecting our economy, environment, health, infrastructure and state budget and needs creative and effective ways to address our climate crisis. Water quality and quantity protection are essential needs. I have worked for preventing water contamination and protecting water resources my entire career.

· Education is the path to opportunity. Increase funding for our public schools and fight for funding for local schools to ensure our schools get their fair share for every student.

· Ensuring democracy through free and fair elections is critical for Minnesotans to bring sound and just policies into law.

· Support universal health care and lower costs. Protect reproductive freedom and choice.
