Park snapped a nine-game losing streak Saturday with a 2-0 Suburban East Conference win at Forest Lake.
The Wolfpack hadn’t won since an opening-day triumph over Hastings but beat the Rangers in their own back yard Saturday. It was Park’s first conference win of the season. Forest Lake fell to 3-7 in the conference and 4-7 on the season.
Park dropped a pair of SEC contests last week, losing 4-3 to Irondale in Cottage Grove Wednesday, then falling 7-1 at fifth-ranked Mounds View on Friday.
The Wolfpack lost a 13-1 decision to visiting seventh-ranked East Ridge Monday afternoon.
Park (1-9, 2-9) plays at Roseville (4-7, 5-7) Wednesday, hosts Woodbury (7-5, 7-6) Friday and goes to White Bear Lake (6-5, 8-5) on Monday, May 13.
Lucas-Holmgren, Swigart lead Park tennis
Host Park dropped a pair of varsity tennis matches last week, falling to Two Rivers 5-2 on Wednesday, then losing 6-1 to Roseville on Friday.
Park’s Caleb Swigart won 7-6, 6-4 at No. 1 singles to highlight the Two Rivers match.
Tom Lucas and Noah Holmgren won twice at No. 1 doubles, defeating a Two Rivers team 6-1, 7-5 then rallying to win against a Roseville duo. 2-6. 7-6 (7-3) and 6-4.
