Job duties include performing emergency work in the treatment of emergency medical problems, including providing and delivering skilled, specialized emergency medical treatment to citizens, emergency rescue, fire inspections, fire education and preplans, and performing emergency work in the protection of life and property from fire and other hazards.
Minimum requirements include high school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED), a valid driver's license, 18 years of age or older, ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, current firefighter 1 certification, current firefighter 2 certification, current national registry of emergency medical technicians (NREMT) certification or certified paramedic, ability to meet the minimum time commitment and a non-smoker.
