Bill (Billy) Rhode passed away at his home in Hastings, MN on June 8, 2024, at the age of 64. He is survived by his loving wife, Kristi, son, Matt Doublin of Minneapolis, MN, and his furbaby, Norman.
Billy was born on July 13,1959, to Bill and Loretta Rhode and grew up in Cottage Grove, MN, where he graduated high school. Billy then went on to become a master plumber. He worked for the Plumbers Union Local 34 for 25 years. Billy had opportunities to work on numerous major plumbing contracts including the Xcel Energy Center and Regina Benedictine Living Community in Hastings.
Billy loved all things hunting, and at the age of 16 shot a 16- point buck. Also at age 16, Billy purchased his first of many motorcycles, including several Harleys. He was also an avid collector of marbles, and his hobby led him to attend various marble shows throughout the Midwest.
Billy is also survived by his sisters, Julie, Ladine, Betty and Marie and brothers, Ken, Joe and Steve, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A celebration of life will be held on July 20, 2024 at 4 p.m., at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings, MN, 55033. A visitation will take place one hour before the service.
Memorials for Billy, and Kristi’s beloved dogs, Belle, Lance, and Sugar Bear, will be donated to the No Kill Animal Ark Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Rehome organization in Hastings, MN. Billy & Kristi rescued Sugar Bear from there.
