Tyler Bonin and Charles Looker tied for fifth with scores of 73 to lead the Park boys in a 15-team meet at Stone Ridge Golf Course Wednesday.
Michael Destasio finished 15th with a 77, Mac Maluski was 28th with an 81, Eli Daly 34th with an 82 and Dre Theurer 46th with an 88.
Cretin-Derham Hall won the meet with a score of 287. Stillwater was second with a 303, White Bear Lake third with a 303, Park fourth with a 304 and Mounds View fifth with a 311, followed by nine others.
Park was third of nine teams at Inver Wood Golf Course in Eagan on Tuesday, April 22.
Northfield won the meet with a score of 297. Rochester Mayo was second with a 297, Park third with a 306, Rochester Century fourth with a 307 and Shakopee fifth at 308, followed by four others.
Destasio shot a 74 to finish fifth and pace the Wolfpack. Bonin and Daly shot 76s and tied for 11th. , Looker was 25th with an 80, Maluski was 36th with an 82 and Theurer 38th with an 83.
Boys' volleyball team goes 3-3 on the week
Park went 2-2 in the Panther Challenge at Spring Lake Park Saturday, winning its last two games and dropping its first two contests.
The Wolfpack lost to Blaine and to Rogers, both in 2-0 games, then beat St. Cloud Tech 2-0 and Andover 2-1. Park scored a 25-20 and 25-22 win over St. Cloud Tech before ending the tournament with a 17-25, 27-25 and 15-12 win over Andover.
Park is now 3-1 and in third place in the Suburban East Conference and stands 9-13 on the season.
Park 3, Forest Lake 1
Park took a 3-1 decision over visiting Forest Lake Tuesday, winning 25-18, 25-13, 24-26 and 28-26 at Cottage Grove.
The Wolfpack remained undefeated in the Suburban East Conference, improved to 2-0 in the league and 7-10 overall. Forst Lake fell to 2-1 and 2-2.
East Ridge 3, Park 2
Host East Ridge scored a thriller five-set match Thursday, winning 27-25, 22-25, 13-25, 25-17 and 16-14.
Park plays at Irondale (3-1, 6-3) Thursday, then hosts conference leading Mounds View (4-0, 7-10) on Tuesday, May 6.
Park boys' lacrosse team falls at East Ridge
Host East Ridge ended Park’s season-opening win streak at three Thursday with a 20-7 victory in Suburban East Conference boys' lacrosse.
Park slipped to 2-1 in the conference and 3-1 on the season.
East Ridge improved to 3-1 in the SEC and 3-2 overall.
Park plays at Irondale (2-2. 4-2) Thursday, then goes to Roseville (0-3, 2-3) Saturday, May 3.
McKeague paces Wolfpack tennis team
Park junior Tyler McKeague rocked a 3-0 week but the Wolfpack boys' tennis struggled a bit last week, losing three matches.
“Having a hard time getting wins, but our team is improving so much,” said Park head coach Tony Townsend. “We are young, so the future is very bright.”
St. Paul Harding claimed a narrow 4-3 victory on Friday. Park’s winners were McKeague at No. 3 singles (6-4, 6-4), Will Taylor at No. 4 singles (6-2, 6-4) as well as the No. 3 doubles team of Liam Shannon and Connor Dahlquist which won 6-0, 6-1.
Park fell to Two Rivers 6-1 on Saturday. McKeague won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 3 singles for the Wolfpack win.
Highland Park claimed a 6-1 victory on Saturday with McKeague again Park’s sole winner as he took a hard-fought 6-3, 3-6 (15-12) win at No. 2 singles.
Park hosts Cretin-Derham Hall Thursday, Woodbury on Friday and then its own five-team invitational Saturday morning starting at 8:30 a.m.
