Park 4, Holy Family 1
Junior forward Chase Nadler scored twice, while Gavin Sand and Nick Bailey had one score each as the Wolfpack skated to a 4-1 home win over visiting Holy Family Wednesday.
“I think we’ve been coming out slow lately, so we just came out really hard, and when you get a 3-1 lead going into the second it’s a pretty simple game from there,” said senior defender and captain Malachi McMorrow. “Just got the pucks in and good things happen.”
After a 1-all game in the first period, Park took control in the second on goals by Sand and Nadler just 34 seconds apart.
Nadler got his second goal of the game early in the third period for a 4-1 Park advantage.
Jack Kennedy had two assists for Park, Nick Bailey, Gavin Sand. , Kayden Hoberg, Riley Koch, Emmett Opichka and Kayden Hoberg had one assist each.
“I think we’ve got to work on just doing what we did today,” said senior defender and captain Luke Dahlstrom. “Coming out hot in the first and taking body and getting sticks on the ice and leading with the stick and doing the little things right like we did tonight and it will be just right.”
Henry Voss went the distance in goal, stopped 22 of 23 shots, a .957 percentage.
