Five different players scored for the Wolfpack as Park skated to a 6-2 win over visiting Duluth Denfeld Saturday afternoon at Cottage Grove Ice Arena.

Junior forward Chase Nadler led the Wolfpack with a pair of goals, while Nick Bailey, Jack Kennedy, Owen Mordorski and Malachi McMorrow each scored once. Mordorski and Gavin Sand added a pair of assists each, while Kayden Hoberg, Emmett Opicha, Kennedy and Riley Koch had one apiece.

Nadler’s four goals is second best on the team. Bailey leads with seven scores and Sand leads with eight assists.

Senior Henry Voss got the goalkeeping victory, stopping 18 of 20 shots for a .900 win rate.

Said Voss.

Park led from start to finish, taking a 1-0 lead in the first period, leading 3-0 after two and then scoring three times in the third.

“We’re working hard every day on little things that maybe the fans can’t see or understand at this point,” said Park head coach Jeff Corkish. “But they’re making little strides whether its little shooting lanes in the penalty kill, stick positioning, recognizing whether we’re on the forecheck or if we’re in the neutral zone trap. It’s just the little things we’re trying to get better at. You don’t want to look at the negative and harp on the bad because you can sit and pick that apart all day long. So I’d rather just look at the little things that we see developing every day.

“It may seem like there are a lot of mistakes out there from both teams for this time of the year but for us its -- we’re just happy about the little, little things,” Corkish continued. “But it could be like Charlie Gander understanding how to take a defensive zone face off like the week before. It could be just holding the red line with your stick out in front of you versus than behind you. Just little, little things. We’ve got a long ways to go. There’s a lot little things to still fix but we’re starting to get there as a team. We have to win as a team. And if we’re not connected and we don’t understand where we’re supposed to go to support our teammates we’re never going to be able to play any faster than what we are today.”
