Terry Espinoza-Garibay punched in two goals to help the visiting Park Wolfpack take a 4-0 win over Hastings Saturday at McNamara Stadium/Todd Field in non-conference boys soccer.

The two goals gave Espinoza-Garibay five tallies in the past three games.

JJ Sanchez and Anthony Escobedo also scored for Park. Isaac Lor led with two assists, Sanchez and Ethan Haupt had one assist each,

Donovin Sheak and Ben Free combined to get the shutout in goal. It was the first shutout win of the season for the Wolfpack.

Park evened its season record at 6-6-1 with the win.

Mounds View 3, Park 1

Two days after scoring eight goals at Irondale, Park’s season-long scoring drought resumed in a 31 loss to visiting Mounds View Thursday.

The Wolfpack took an early 1-0 lead on a goal by JJ Sanchez but then were shut out the rest of the way. Chance Vang had the assist on the score.

"We have a brand-new back line because my captain's hurt right now," said head coach Andrew Bourgoine. "Ollie's out, Oliver Cox is out right now, he's hurt so we've had to makeshift our back line right now and just hoping that we don't make mistakes and unfortunately tonight we just made two mistakes in the first half after we had a 1-0 lead. We made two mistakes that are super easy preventable that we've given up all year, and we just keep giving them up.

"That's a good team but I mean after that first 20 minutes we just didn't play like we should have been playing," Bourgoine continued. "This team is like a roller coaster right now. It's like we're good one game, we're good for 30 minutes of a game, we're good for 80 minutes of a game, like Irondale, but it's like every other game or every other half, we're just good to bad to ugly."
Park’s record in the Suburban East Conference slipped to 3-3.

Park 8, Irondale 1

Terry Espinoza-Garibay scored a hat trick and Park exploded for its best offensive outing of the season with an 8-1 win at winless Irondale Tuesday.

Previously the Wolfpack scored five goals against Apple Valley and four against White Bear Lake, but there have been five games of either one or no goals by the Wolfpack this season.

Espinoza-Garibay’s three goals led Park. Devan Young had two goals and an assist. Chance Vang, JJ Sanchez and Ryan Janaszak had one goal each. Ethan Haupt had two assists, Isaac Lor, Carter Darling and Jared Cumbe one each.

Donavin Sheak and Ben Fee shared the goaltending win.

The win also evened Park’s record at 5-5-1 and the Wolfpack improved to 3-2 in the SEC. Irondale fell to 0-4-1 in conference and 0-10-1 overall.

Park wraps up the regular season with two games this week, playing at Forest Lake (0-4-2, 1-8-3) Thursday, then hosting conference co-leading Woodbury (4-0-2, 8-3-2) Saturday in the season finale, starting at 1 p.m.
