The Wolfpack took on visiting Eastview in a non-conference matchup Saturday evening at Cottage Grove but neither team could find the back of the net, battling to a 0-0 tie.

Park is now 3-4-1 on the season. It was the third time eight games the Wolfpack have been shutout this season.

Cretin-Derham Hall 5, Park 0

The Wolfpack struggled to get into Thursday’s home game against visiting Cretin-Derham Hall.

“I mean we just gotta try,” said Park head coach Andrew Bourgoine. “This is back-to-back games now where we just haven’t tried. Against Stillwater we got unlucky, and they scored a couple goals and then we just gave up and they just ran away with a 5-0 and we scored two late to make it 5-2. And then tonight from the beginning me and Charlie (Gutzman) and my two assistants could just tell we didn’t want to be here today, and they just gave up.

“We played three good teams and beat three good teams and then we played four games where we just haven’t shown up,” Bourgoine continued. “We’re never in the middle. It’s either we’re good and we show up and we’re good, or we don’t show up and we’re one of the worst teams in the state. We’ve got to figure it out.”

After two wins the first week in September, the second week has not been kind to the Wolfpack. Following a 5-2 loss at Stillwater Tuesday. Park returned home only to absorb a 5-0 loss to visiting and undefeated Cretin-Derham Hall (6-0-2) on Thursday.

There were few highlights for the Wolfpack Thursday as the team fell to 1-2 in the Suburban East Conference and 3-4 on the season.

Stillwater 5, Park 2

Host Stillwater snapped Park’s two-game winning streak Tuesday with a 5-2 victory.

Neither team scored in the first half, but the conference leading Ponies pounded in five goals after break.

Anthony Escobedo and Sacid Mohamed scored for Park. Nate Lor and Santiago Davis had assists.
