Celebrate the holiday season with the annual festive Holiday Train from 3-6 p.m. Dec. 10, at the “Cottage Grove Stop” near the Visitors Bureau, and support the local Friends in Need Food Shelf serving residents of Cottage Grove, Grey Cloud Island, Newport and Saint Paul Park.

Glo-sticks will be given to the first 2,000 children in attendance. Visit with Santa and enjoy some holiday music before the train arrives at 5 p.m. Warm up in “The Lodge” warming tent while enjoying free hot chocolate and cookies. Purchase food from featured food trucks D&D Goodies, Deep Roots, Steven D', Youniverse Foodie, Waffles, and Mountain Mikes, with a percentage of proceeds from each food truck benefitting Friends in Need Food Shelf.

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train promises a “trainload” of fun and entertainment starting at 5 p.m., with performances by Tenille Townes and Breland beginning at 5:15 p.m. from the train stage.

All cash and donations of personal care items collected at the “Cottage Grove Stop” go directly to the local Friends in Need Food Shelf, serving the residents of Cottage Grove, Grey Cloud Island, Newport and St. Paul Park.
