The annual Washington County Bluegrass Festival fuses community, the great outdoors, and homegrown bluegrass music. Washington County Parks is celebrating a successful summer season and giving thanks to everyone for supporting the parks. The festival backdrop is Lake Elmo Park Reserve, a 2,165-acre parkland. As a park reserve, 80% of the parks land will be restored to pre-settlement, original vegetation.
The Bluegrass Festival is free for annual park permit holders and available to all visitors for the price of a daily or annual permit, $7 daily, $30 annually. No animals or alcohol at the festival. It is supported by the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Association (MBOTMA).
Bring lawn chairs or blankets for an afternoon of enjoyment. The event is family friendly. Camping is available on-site; food trucks will be on-site, along with other activities.
Lake Elmo Park Reserve is at 1515 Keats Ave. N. in Lake Elmo. See www.co.washington.mn.us/parks for maps and more information.
