REPORT OF TWO PEOPLE STABBED
On August 15, 2021, at 11:13 p.m., Cottage Grove Police and EMS units were dispatched to the 6600 block of Jeffery Ct. S in Cottage Grove. A caller was reporting that two people had been stabbed.
The victims, a 39-yearold female and a 43-yearold male, were transported to Regions Hospital where they are in stable condition. A CodeRED community notification was sent to residents within a half mile radius to stay indoors while a search was conducted for the 15-year-old suspect who had left the house before officers arrived.
A coordinated search with officers from Cottage Grove, St. Paul Park, Woodbury, Oakdale, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and the Minnesota State Patrol lasted for approximately 90 minutes until the suspect was located and taken into custody.
The Cottage Grove Police Department continues to investigate the incident. Case remains active.
