Machinery was on site at 6940 Keats Avenue last week as footings and walls go up for a 4,000 square foot addition to the Cedarhurst Mansion property, listed on the National Historic Register. Once owned by Cordenio and Mary Severance as a working farm that also hosted presidents, the property was purchased by Bellagala last year. Plans for the historic property include 4,000 square foot addition for a high-end, full-service wedding and event venue, the venue opening planned in 2027. The multi-million-dollar renovation project seeks to preserve the historic estate while adding modern event spaces, upgraded facilities, and restored outdoor features like the rose garden. Now in progress, readers can learn more on Cedarhurst plans under the ‘venues’ tab at bellagala.com.
