Charles Doneshesky was the youngest of Samuel and Sarah Doneshesky’s five children. He was born and raised in St. Paul, Mn. He worked hard as a warehouse man, spending most of his adult life living in Newport, Mn. He married his wife Ella on June 9th, 1956, and they spent many years together until her passing in 2004.
Charles worked with Ella in raising her children/his stepchildren: Mitzi, Fred, Ed, Frank and they were blessed with a son of their own Bill, born in 1957. Charles is a huge sports fan. He enjoys watching and cheering on all the Minnesota sports teams. He especially likes the MN Twins! Charles was lucky enough to attend a 1965 World Series game, Twins VS. Dodgers, this was the Twins' first time in a world series and a very exciting event for Charles to attend. Being a huge baseball fan, one of Charles most treasured items is his Harmon Killebrew autograph. It was a unique autograph due to the fact Harmon signed his name on a U-Turn ticket Charles had just received. Charles said it was the only thing he had in his pocket at the time. Charles has always had a great sense of humor and loves passing along a good joke. Happy 100th Birthday Charles!
