Experience the splendor of the holiday season with the 28th Annual Christmas at the Historic Courthouse!

Wander into a winter wonderland and take in the sights of the season with the Historic Courthouse decorated for the holidays inside and out as you enjoy a one-hour shopping session at the holiday bazaar! Visit with vendors of unique, hand-crafted items, tour the exhibits and old county jail, and take photos in the holiday display! Beat the holiday rush and get your shopping done early. Friday evening includes the chance to win door prizes, and live music by harpist Karissa Kockelman.

– Advance reservations are required due to limited capacity.

– All members of your party must be registered in order to attend, including children.

– Children must be accompanied by an adult.

– Attendees must arrive and depart within their reserved one-hour time frame.

– Face masks are required, and attendees are asked to follow social distancing guidelines.

$3.00 per person. Proceeds benefit the Historic Courthouse Restoration Fund.

In 2020, the event will look a little different with the safety of our visitors and vendors being the top priority. Please review the event plan for more details on the precautions that will be taken to create a safe and fun environment for everyone.

Pre-Order & Pick-Up Unable to attend the Christmas at the Courthouse Holiday Bazaar? Pre-order items from participating vendors now through Nov. 17 and pick up your order on Thursday, November 19 at the Historic Courthouse. A free, no-contact pick-up is available at the Historic Courthouse between 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Curbside service will be offered 4:00-5:00 p.m. (please call ahead to schedule). Visit the Parks website for a list of participating vendors.

Christmas at the Courthouse – New Activities Offered!

Christmas at the Courthouse activities have been extended throughout the week of Nov. 16 – 22, with a focus on social distancing and fun!

Monday, 11/16 – Sunday, 11/22 – Winter Story Stroll Families are welcome to enjoy a self-guided winter story stroll on the grounds of the Historic Courthouse. This program is brought to you in partnership with Washington County Libraries.

Wednesday 11/18 – Holiday Virtual Tea Program Tea can be a great way to soothe the nerves and promote relaxation during what can be a stressful holiday season. Join Joy Sorich of Cup of Joy to learn more about using tea to relieve that holiday stress and add a little more Zen into your routine this season. Reservations include two 2oz packages of tea (makes approx. 50 cups), brewing instructions, recipes, no-contact in-person or curbside pick-up on Nov. 16, and a link to the virtual program held on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 3:00 p.m. $25.00 per person or $35.00 per person includes a tea infuser.

How it works: 1. Make your reservation online or call 651-275-7075 by Tuesday, November 10.

2. Pick-up your teas on Monday, Nov. 16. In-person, no contact pick-up offered inside the building 9am-4pm. Curbside pick-up offered 4-5pm.

3. Look for further tips and directions in your e-mail to assist you in joining us virtually on WebEx.

4. On Wednesday, Nov. 18, brew your first tea and click the link sent to your e-mail to join the virtual program at the scheduled time Reserve Online or call 651-275-7075.

Wednesday, 11/18 – FREE Children’s Craft Bag Pick-Up Washington County Parks has partnered with Gammelgarden Museum to provide free craft bags filled with three traditional Swedish crafts available at the Historic Courthouse. No-contact pick-up offered inside the building 9am-4pm on Wednesday 11/18. Curbside pick-up will be offered 4-5pm. While supplies last.

Support the Historic Courthouse Restoration Fund The Christmas at the Courthouse event is the major fundraiser for the Historic Courthouse Restoration Fund. If you are unable to attend the event but would still like to donate to the Restoration Fund, please call 651-275-7075 or complete the tax-deductible donation form.
