Need a free tree? Just want one? If that describes you, we’ve got news.
The City of Cottage Grove is giving away 100 free trees to celebrate Arbor Day April 26. With trees important in absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen—to the tune of 48 pounds per mature tree, according to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA)—trees also produce sugar and thus the basic food that living organisms need to live, extending up the food chain. Put in simple terms, the Tree Giveaway provides you with a chance to win a tree, plant that tree, and thereby help save the world.
So what’s the catch?
None, except an online survey with resident’s full name, address, email and phone number. Only one entry will be accepted per household.
Applicants to the Free Tree Giveaway are asked to submit entries by Wednesday, April 24 at 8 a.m. Winners will then be randomly selected and trees delivered Friday, April 26
With money not growing on trees this is your chance to get a free plant. What’s there to lose by applying?
