Washington County Parks invites the public to the Historic Courthouse in Stillwater from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, July 17, for the Community Ice Cream Social.
Held outdoors on the grounds of the Historic Courthouse, the Community Ice Cream Social is a perennial favorite where attendees can enjoy ice cream with family, friends, and neighbors.
The Ice Cream Social is free to attend and open to the public. Bring a blanket, enjoy root beer floats and ice cream for purchase, and listen to live music on the lawn. The event is sponsored by Lift Bridge Brewing Company and Edina Realty.
Proceeds from the root beer floats, ice cream, and Historic Courthouse merchandise benefit the Historic Courthouse Restoration Fund. In the event of rain, the event will be canceled.
Washington County is now accepting vendor applications for the Community Ice Cream Social. Interested vendors can apply online by visiting www.WashingtonCountyMN.gov/Programs and clicking “Community Ice Cream Social.” The application deadline is June 30.
Suggested vendor activities include popcorn sales, face painting, kids’ activities, and nature or history-based activities. Please note that all food sales (except individually wrapped products such as chips and canned/bottled beverages) require a valid food-handling license issued by the Washington County Public Health and Environment Department or the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. Food vendors may be asked to provide insurance information.
A variety of organizations and businesses will be selected to provide a balanced array of products and activities. The Historic Courthouse will sell gift items and root beer floats. Proceeds from the vendor applications benefit the Historic Courthouse Restoration Fund.
The Historic Courthouse is at the corner of Pine and Third streets in Stillwater.
