A Park High graduate from the Class of 2020 named Maddy Bloedel, now a junior at Northland College, has won the UMAC Championships at the Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker Minnesota.
Entering day three of the tournament in second place, Bloedel came away with four straight pars to win the UMAC Golf Championship, finishing her first round with a score of 84, her second round with a score of 87, and the third with a score of 87.
Playing a 43 for the first nine holes of the third round and 44 for the second nine, Bloedel scored a three game total of 258, thus clinching the top spot from Justine Day of Minnesota – Morris.
As to the team that Bloedel is a part of at Northland College, it finished fourth overall, the Jills coming in ahead of UW-Superior with an overall team score of 1,186 for the three day event.
