COVID-19 cases in Washington County are dwindling, and that’s good news.

As of Feb. 12, there have been 21,408 cases of COVID-19 reported in Washington County. However, on that same day there just 51 new cases reported.

During the post-thanksgiving surge, by contrast, there were 455 cases reported on Nov. 29.

Since mid-January, the numbers have been steadily in the 50 per day range.

For monthly from mid-November to mid-December, they generally exceeded 250 new cases per day.

There have been a total of 249 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Washington County.

By city, Cottage Grove has had the second most cases of COVID-19 in the county. Woodbury has had the most with 5,201 cases.
