CP Holiday Train Events Go Virtual This Year

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train will not be making its annual Holiday Train tour and will be holding a virtual concert instead, on Saturday, December 12. CP will be donating to food banks in communities along its network.

The need continues. Annually, the Holiday Train fundraiser represents 25% of the Friends in Need Food Shelf Annual Budget. The goal is to raise $70,000 in 2020.

Become a Supporter or Participate in Fundraising Events: 1. Shop the Virtual Silent Auction November 30th -December 11th. Items were generously donated by community members and local businesses. Items will be available for pick-up on Saturday, December 12th at Hamlet Park. •This is a “drive-through” event and proper social distancing protocols will be followed.

•We will be accepting cash donations, along with paper products such as toilet paper and paper towels (No Food Items Please). See Santa and Mrs. Clause while you’re here!

All cash and paper product item donations collected go directly to our local Friends in Need Food Shelf, serving the residents of Cottage Grove, Grey Cloud Island, Newport and St. Paul Park.
