Now that he’s got a taste for winning, it’s hard to say when Paek senior Henry Joa may stop.

Fresh off his first individual cross country victory in the Grey Cloud Invite, Joa made it two wins in a row with a triumph in the Dewey Minnaert Invite at St. Croix Bluffs Thursday.

Joa finished the 5K in an even 16 minutes, just edging friend and rival Jack Sales of East Ridge, who was second in 16:03. Joa bested both his finish (third) and time (16:16.2) from the 2025 race.

Joa’s win helped Park finish second in the eight-team boys varsity race. East Ridge was first with 32 points, Park was second with 83, Osseo third with 86, Burnsville fourth with 90, Hastings fifth with 130, St. Croix Preparatory Academy sixth with 141, Tartan seventh with 174 and Cretin-Derham Hall eighth with 184.
