The Cottage Grove Council took time out Dec. 4 to recognize Eagle Scout Cameron Rekstad of Troop 286. Each prospective Eagle Scout must first propose, lead, and complete a project, which is then evaluated in review by the Boy Scouts. Rekstad shared how his project involved enlisting 25 volunteers to help clean gravestones at Cottage Grove Cemetery this past May. Rekstad’s name will be included on a recognition display at City Hall recognizing Eagle Scouts from Cottage Grove past and present.
