Angela N. Barre, 35, Maplewood, was charged in Dakota County Circuit Court with felony threats of violence with intent to terrorize and felony nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images with certain factor(s) present.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 9, officers responded to a residence in Inver Grove Heights for a report of harassment. The victim stated that she was receiving harassing phone calls and text messages from Barre. She explained that she works with Barre’s husband and the two have been exchanging nude photographs and videos for the last few months. The victim did not know that he was married until she received a phone call around midnight from Barre. The victim hung up on Barre and blocked her number. Barre then began texting the victim through a text app. The first text stated, “I uploaded all yo videos to Facebook, Insta, TikTok, and more with your name and number. Ima be to see u soon. Oops did yo lil’ [expletive] man tell u I sent it to HR lol trifling [expletive].”

Shortly after receiving the text message, the victim received a call from her employer and was advised that HR received an email containing nude photographs and videos of the victim. The employer stated that the victim’s face was identifiable in the images.

Barre continued to send text messages to the victim and stated she was going to kill her. Barre also texted the victim, “I hope you die [expletive] one bullet to the back of your head.” The victim reached out to Barre’s husband who confirmed that Barre found the nude photos/videos of the victim, knew where the victim lived, and did have a firearm which she routinely carried on her person.

The victim also stated that she had been receiving calls and texts from random numbers asking her for nude photos and videos. Barre attached the victim’s actual phone number on social media when she posted the nude photos and videos of the victim.

Shortly after speaking with the victim, law enforcement learned that Barre was involved in a domestic dispute with her husband. Barre later confirmed that she had sent the text messages to the victim, posted a video of the victim on social media and attached the victim’s phone number.

Barre was booked into the Dakota County Jail.
