Join fellow bird enthusiasts for 2023’s last guided bird hike in Washington County, taking place at Pine Point Regional Park from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. All participants are to meet at the trailhead kiosk.
According to Washington County Parks, whether one is just starting out or an experienced birder, these hikes are a great way to get outdoors, listen to the sounds of nature, and learn to identify the birds that call the St. Croix Valley home. Participants are welcome to contribute to citizen science data collection by completing bird count surveys with their guide. The surveys collected will assist the county’s Natural Resources team and related work in conjunction with the Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Fund grant.
Please dress appropriately for all weather conditions. Participants are recommended to bring binoculars, a water bottle and snack and to wear hiking or tennis shoes.
This is a free event for all ages, but a vehicle permit is required ($7 daily/$30 annual). Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pine Point Regional Park is located at 11900 Norell Ave. N. in Stillwater.
