Future All-Pros lined up to pass, punt, catch, defend and chase at the Skyhawks Flag Football Camp held Monday through Thursday this week at Hillside Elementary in Cottage Grove.
Instructors from Skyhawks taught their charges – ages 6 to 12 — some football basic skills.
This week’s camp was the third of three sessions sponsored by South Washington County Community Education. It offers youth sports camps in several areas year round, including gymnastics, flag football, soccer, volleyball and track and field. The flag football camp was one of the most popular, with a wait list for the sessions.
Across the playing fields from the flag football drills, young cheerleaders were taught the basics of cheerleading.
Participants in both camps had plenty of time for water and snack breaks, in between a lot of high-spirited fun.
The week-long flag football camp wraps up with the Skyhawks Super Bowl Thursday.
