SAINT PAUL, MN – After work by Rep. Keith Franke (R-St. Paul Park), to bring together public safety officials to address the danger street racing poses to communities, it was announced this week by the Department of Public Safety that the State Patrol will assign 20 additional troopers and aviation resources on July 8 and 9.

“I want to thank the Department of Public Safety and the State Patrol for providing additional resources for addressing street racing,” said Franke. “Earlier this year, I brought together State Patrol Chief Colonel Matt Langer and law enforcement officials from Cottage Grove, St. Paul Park, and the Washington County Sheriff’s office to discuss how we can best work together to keep our communities safe. Thank you Col. Langer and DPS for providing additional resources to curb the threat street racers pose to the safety of our residents and businesses.”
