There are two reasons why it is the most wonderful time of the year. First, there is the prominence of Jolly Old Saint Nicholas and his hard-working elves. Throughout the year, they construct toys and other goods that nice children wish to have. Then, the night proceeding Christmas Eve, Santa delivers these presents to homes around the globe. A second factor contributing to the merriness of the holidays is giving. In December, people use their own resources to purchase things for loved ones and donate to those who are less fortunate than themselves. To conclude, both Santa Claus and acts of generosity make Christmastime quite remarkable and St. Paul Park is combining the two in an upcoming event.
The Holiday Donation Drop is scheduled for Saturday December 19th at Heritage Park. St. Paul Park’s Fire Department is collaborating with Friends In Need Food Shelf to gather selfless donations from locals between 10am and 1pm. They can “drop” off cash, non-perishable food items, toiletries, diapers (size 4-6), and dental necessities. Throughout this process, social distancing will be enforced and donations are expected to be bagged. By taking part in The Holiday Donation Drop, people can incorporate an act of goodwill into their 2020 holiday season.
This leaves one last special detail to be mentioned. Santa and his elves will be making an appearance at Heritage Park on that Saturday. As per usual, they will be supplying candy and gifts. Readers are not going to want to miss out; is going to be a Christmas blast!
