Now busy crowdfunding as it continues the process of taking the city to court for an injunction on the Mississippi Landing plat, Friends of Grey Cloud is expanding its activism.
The non-profit environmental group with both city resident and outside participation will hold an information event on running for local office from 6-7:30 p.m. April 30 at Park Grove Library in the Community Room.
Speaking at the event will be John Calabrese, project leader of All in Favor and a Field Organizer for Grass Roots Organizing of Western Wisconsin. Calabrese will talk about empowering local citizens to run for office. Camaraderie, refreshments and forms from the city clerk’s office will all be at the event.
