Girls golf team to tee off Thursday
Park will have a young girls' golf team this season, with just one senior on the roster, Maggie Jensen. Jensen will be Park’s top player this season, said coach Bay Shock.
Natalie Post and Becca Rugless will be numbers two and three for the Wolfpack.
“We have a few other players looking to play varsity this year -- Riley Krinke, Olivia Korpi, Elizabeth Chilton and Gabby Stepka will see some time at varsity,” said Shock. “We have strong numbers with 27 total players and a lot of new faces this year.”
Park is scheduled to play 18 holes Thursday at Prestwick Golf Course in Woodbury in a 10-team Suburban East Conference meet starting at 12:30 p.m.
In a junior varsity match April 10 at River Oaks, the three top players for Park were Gabby Stepka, Elizabeth Chilton and Olivia Korpi. Park finished 8th out of 10 teams.
