Saturday evening was more of the same for the Park girls' soccer team as the home-standing Wolfpack dropped a 4-0 decision to visiting Eastview in a non-conference contest.
Park has now dropped four straight games and only scored once in those four contests Roseville (0-0 tie), Stillwater (L 1-7), Cretin-Derham Hall (L 0-2) and Eastview (L 0-4).
“Kids are playing hard, yea, and we can’t score,” said co-head coach Stacy Paleen. “So same old problem, different year. Yea, I don’t know. We started off the season scoring and now we’ve found a little drought. They work really hard. We try possessing and sometimes we make it a little hard on ourselves. We’ve just got to figure out ways to play smarter soccer because I think we’re playing pretty good soccer. ”
The Wolfpack slipped to 3-4-2 on the season.
Cretin-Derham Hall 2, Park 0
Park coach Paleen predicted a 2-0 win for the Wolfpack Thursday evening against visiting Cretin-Derham Hall. Pallen got the score right, but not the team as the visiting Raider blanked the Wolfpack at Cottage Grove.
The Wolfpack had several scoring opportunities but couldn’t manage to find the back of the net against the Raiders. It was the third time in eight games that Park was held scoreless.
Park is now 0-2-1 in the Suburban East Conference.
