Give broken items a second chance at the Fix-it Clinic

Reuse and reduce unnecessary waste by extending the lifespan of belongings. Whether it's a malfunctioning toaster or a stubborn zipper, volunteers at the Fix-it Clinic are ready to lend a hand on Saturday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wildwood Library in Mahtomedi. The last item will be accepted at 1:30 p.m.
Accepted items are:
Antique radios, blenders, camping lanterns, clothing and other textiles for mending (must be clean and dry), Dremel tools, DVD players, fans, flashlights, hair dryers, lamps, paper shredders, remote controls, sewing machines, steam mops, stereos, telephones, toaster ovens, toasters, and toys.
Please do not bring these items:
E-cigarettes or any other commercial tobacco products, guns, knives, or anything that would be considered a weapon, and oversized items. All items must be able to be carried in – no oversized items please.
If you are looking to become a fixer volunteer, specific skills in soldering, electronic repair, sewing, woodworking, or a love for tinkering are always welcome. Expert skills are not necessary.
