Join the Dodge Nature Center for a family-friendly Halloween Extravaganza at Shepard Farm in Cottage Grove from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 28. Enjoy trick-or-treating through the woods, hay wagon rides, spying spooky ghosts and ghouls, field games to win extra treats, silly science skits, and meet some slithery creatures. Food is available for purchase while enjoying the fall fun.

Preregister online for $8 per person before noon on Oct. 27. Tickets at the gate are $10 per person. Children ages 2 and under are free.

Brenda Teats, Director of Development for Dodge Nature Center, explained that a Halloween celebration has been hosted at Dodge’s original location in West St. Paul for more than 20 years, but in 2022 they decided to share the spooky fun at Shepard Farm to introduce the community to the new Dodge location in Cottage Grove. Last year, more than 1,300 people attended the Extravaganza.

As a reminder, Teats added, Shepard Farm trails are open year-round to walk from sunrise to sunset through 100+ year-old trees at no cost.

To buy tickets, find information on Dodge Nature Center locations, or tips to enjoy their trails, go to www. dodgenaturecenter.org/visit.
