The store will be open Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and closed Sundays.

Area residents have a new, local choice for everyday items needed for their homes. Home Choice is located at 6990 80th Street, Suite 120 in Cottage Grove. This location features a large showroom with plenty of space for comfortable shopping.

The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was kicked off by Mayor Myron Bailey.

“I heard that Home Choice was looking at Cottage Grove for quite a while,” said Bailey. “They finally landed in the space just off 80th Street right next to Ace Hardware.”

The Cottage Grove location is the 20th location in Minnesota with the closest existing location being in West St. Paul. Home Choice offers home furnishings, appliances, computers, electronics and more for flexible and low monthly payments. They also work to be great community partners where their stores are, and this location jumpstarted their community giving with a $2,000 donation to Friends in Need Food Shelf.

Store Manager Damien Delcastillo is excited to share the Home Choice experience with new customers.

“Home Choice is a retail store. Here you have the option to buy in full if you'd like. Otherwise, we do flexible finance options as well. We are in-house financing, so we work with all walks of life, good credit, bad credit, no credit. We're going to help you get what you need for your life or what you want for your life with flexible payment plans, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly payments, whatever works best for your life,” explained Delcastillo.

The store itself gives just a small taste of their offerings with a plethora of items available via their online catalogue.

“We do tires,” laughed Delcastillo. “We handle the purchasing of the tires, the financing, basically, you do everything through us, and we set up a third party to do the installation of the tires.”

Aside from the furniture, appliances and home electronics, Home Choice also has jewelry, lawn care equipment and so much more that can be ordered online and shipped to the store for easy pickup.

Delcastillo grew up in the Cottage Grove area and is looking forward to his family living here as he embarks on his career with Home Choice, earning his promotion to Store Manager from the work he did at his last store in Moorhead.
