Jameson leads Park in SEC track and field meet

Park senior Rainna Jameson had herself a day at the Suburban East Conference track and field meet Thursday at White Bear Lake.

Jameson won the high jump, clearing 5-2; finished eighth in the 100-meter hurdles (17.40), placed 10th in the triple jump (33-6) and ran a leg on Park’s 4x100 relay team.

Jameson was Park’s only individual event winner, but scores of Wolfpack athletes turned in top times and distances and personal records.

Park’s girls were ninth in the team race and the boys finished 10th.

Stillwater won the girls half of the meet with 256 points, followed by: 2, Roseville, 241.5; 3, Mounds View, 199.5; 4, Forest Lake, 188; 5, White Bear Lake, 147; 6, Woodbury, 77; 7, Irondale, 66; 8, East Ridge, 35.5; 9, Park 34; and 10, Cretin-Derham Hall, 28.5.

On the boys side it was 1, Stillwater, 288; 2, White Bear Lake, 168; 3, Mounds View, 141; 4, Woodbury, 134; 5, Roseville, 133; 6, Forest Lake, 131; 7, Irondale, 117; 8, East Ridge, 63; 9, Cretin-Derham Hall, 50; and Park, 48.

Park’s track and field athletes now compete in the Section 3AAA meet at Macalester College in St. Paul on Wednesday and Friday, starting at 3:30 p.m. both days.

Girls' events

Elizabeth Kamande was 25th in the 100 (13.22) and Madline Finstad 33rd (13.54). Kylee Nickle took 17th in the 200m(27.62) and Lillie Finstad was 35th (29.35). Kalin Randrup was 26th in the 800 (2:37.18) and Jana Hafiz 35th (2:46.26). Alli Devine was 36th in the 1,600 (6:13.08).

Sharon Oni was 19th in the 100-meter hurdles (18.62) and 21st in the 300 hurdles (53.49).

Park was ninth in the 4x100, fifth in the 4x200 (Madeline Finstad, Elizabeth Kamande, Malya Ramirez, Kylee Nickle, 1:50.05), 10th in the 4x400 (4:31.91) and seventh in the 4x800 (10:22.35).

Pajyeeb King led the Park shot putters with an 11th place throw of 31-10.5. Zoey Bammert-Mueller was 18th (29.4.5) in the shot put and 12th in the discus (97-4). Kong was 24th in the discus (86-2).

McKayla Annan finished 14th in the high jump (4-6) and 15th in the triple jump (32-0). Jocelyn Meulemans was 31st in the pole vault (7-0). Aguru Omot was 27th in the long jump (12-9).

Boys' events

Alexander Djadoo was 14th (11.35) in the 100 and Torwon Dahn 34th (11.83). Miskir Esayas finished 21st in the 200 (23.61) and Jayden Rentz was 31st (24.42). Dominic Jenkins (52.16) and Kroix Pearson (52.48) were seventh and eighth in the 400 respectively. Eli Firchau was 15th in the 800 (2:03.41) and Henry Joa 18rh (2:04.90). Firchau was also 13th in the 1,600 (4:33.50) and teammate Joa 17th (4:36.36). Gavin Stauffer was 22nd in the 3,200-meter run in 10:51.29 and Will Mann 32nd in 11:12.23.

Donovan Sheak was 30th in the 300-meter hurdles in 47.50 and 36th in the 110-meter hurdles in 19.78.

Park’s relay teams were eighth in the 4x100 (45.27), fifth in the 4x200 (Gabriel Przekurst, Miskir Esayas, Dominic Jenkins, Kroix Pearson, 1:32.92), ninth in the 4x300 (3:42.04) and fifth in the 4x800 (Benjamin Paulsen, Miles Kaiser, Liam Fleming, Dylan Renelt, 8:53.44).

Aidan Boche threw the shot 40-8.5 to finish 23rd and placed 12th in the discus (135-4). Charles Blumberg was 29th in the shot put (37-5.75). Lance Hayes was 22nd in the discus (115-1).

O’Neal Attisso finished third in the high jump, clearing 6-2. Hazim King was seventh at 6-0. Daniel Boesch was eighth in the long jump (21-1.5) and Attisso 28th (18-3.25). Kalab Miftah finished 11th in the triple jump (41-0) and Attisso was 12th (40-7).
