Jameson’s jump leads Park track in first meet

Park ninth grader Rainna Jameson won the girls triple jump with a leap of 33-01.5 to lead the Park boys and girls in the 2022 track and field season opener Saturday at the University of Wisconsin -Stout.

Park junior Savannah Brown tied for seventh in the girls pole vault, clearing 7-feet.

Jameson and Brown were the only two Park athletes to score in the meet. Eighteen teams from Minnesota and Wisconsin competed in the meet. Park was 14th in the girls team race with 10.5 points.

Other Park girls to place in the top 25 included: Emma Taschner, ninth, 200 (28.50); Ellen Jensen, 11th, 400 (1:08.25); Jameson, 21st, 55-meter dash (8.16); Lydia Best, 17th in the 800 (2:56.95), Jillian Nelson, 21st, 55-meter hurdles (11.46); Danae Morgan, 22nd, 55-meter hurdles, (11.46); Aliya Tannahill, 11th, high jump, (4-06); Morgan Eberwine, 17th, high jump, (4-03); Tannahill, 24th, long jump, (12-05.5); Justine Jameson, 17th, triple jump, (26-06.5); Anna-Marie Larsen, 14th, shot put, (28-01.5); Zoe Bammert- Mueller, shot put, (27-01.50). Senior Andrew Drager was ninth in the high jump, clearing 5-8, and 12th in the long jump (18-02.25) to lead the Park boys.

Park‘s Skyler Morgan placed 11th in the triple jump at 37-04/5; Jacob Paulsen, 23rd, 800, (2:20.34); Gavin Stauffer, 20th, 1,600-meter run, (5:16.97); Samuel Lankow, 14th, pole vault, (9-06); Taran Blasy, 24th, long jump, 16-04.5 and 13th, triple jump, 37-01; Treyton Bammert-Mueller, 17th, shot put, (39-06).
