Park’s Rainna Jameson finished first in the high jump (5-0), was second in the triple jump (32-09.5) and fifth in the long jump (14-01.75), while the Wolfpack girls swept the discus to highlight Park’s efforts in the South Washington Country meet Thursday at Woodbury.
Park’s throwers finished first through fifth in the girls discus, led by Karis Waindim who threw 73-03.
“Rainna Jameson is jumping really well,” said Park head girls coach Brad Naveson. “She’s cleared five feet in the high jump already and she’s only getting better. She’s also doing really well in the triple jump and will be a key contributor on the track as well.”
Woodbury won both the boys and girls team races, with Park second in both.

Girls scores: 1, Woodbury, 251.5. 2, Park 167. 3, East Ridge, 57. 4, New Life, 17.5.

Elizabeth Ayala was first in the high hurdles (20.01), Lydia Best won the 800 in 2:50.26.mKylie Dahm won the pole vault, clearing 8 feet. Anna-Marie Larsen finished first in the shot put (28-02).
“Kylie Dahm has been consistently good in the pole vault. She’s very determined to have a good senior season,” said Narveson. “Emma Taschner is vital to our success in the relays … she’s the anchor runner and competes hard in the 100 meter and 200 meter races as well. Our throwers are doing well as shown by the top five places at the Woodbury meet in the discus.”
Ava Radel was second in the 1,600 in 6:44.46. Ellen Jensen ran a 1L09,19 in the 400.
Park boys
Park’s Andrew Drager won the high jump, clearing 6-feet, had a time of 12.04 in the 100 and went 19-00.05 in the long jump.
Park got wins from Parker Hahn in the 800 (2:13.69), its 4×800 and 4×200 meter relay teams.
Brady Perryman finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 38-08.00. Treyton Bammert-Mueller threw 117-10 in the discus to finish second.
Gavin Stauffer finished second in the boys 1,600-meter run in 5:05.38. Conner Fish turned a 56.37 time in the 400.
Park girls win, boys second in Early Bird Park girls finished first in the team scores in the Early Bird meet Tuesday. April 19, with 103.5 points, followed by Kasson Mantorville, 92.5; Parnassus 33 and Metro 2. The Woodbury boys won their half of the meet with 107.5 points, followed by Park, 74; Kasson Mantorville, 47.5 and Parnassus, 32.
Gavin Stauffer ran a 10:34.07 time to win the boys 3,200 meters. Treyton Bammert-Mueller won the discus with a throw of 121.05. OT Omot went 17-10 to lead competitors in the long jump. Samuel Lankow went 9-0 to win the pole vault.
Zoey Bammert-Mueller won the shot put with a throw of 29-04.5. Kylie Dahm cleared 8-6 in the pole vault.
