Jeseritz, Park, swim to Tartan meet titles

Senior Parker Jeseritz swam to a championship in the 100-yard backstroke and Park’s boys tied for a team title Saturday in the 13-team Tartan Invite at Skyview Middle School.

Jeseritz closed a 58.61 to win the 100-yard backstroke. He also finished eighth in the 50-yard freestyle (24.08) and helped anchor two Park second-place relay finishes.

“The boys have been working hard and we placed third at the True Team Invite and we tied for first at the Tartan Invite,” said Park head coach William Arnsparger.

Park scored 273 points to tie Forest Lake for first place. Osseo was third, followed by: 4, Stillwater, 246; 5, White Bear Lake, 192; 6, Tartan/North, 189; 7, River Falls, 183; 8, Chisago Lakes, 169; 9, Bloomington Kennedy, 145; 10, Hill Murray, 116; 11, Como Park, 113; 12, Humbolt, Washington and Owl, 44; 13, Woodbury, 40.

Park was second in the 200-yard medley relay with the team of Jeseritz, Damion Charpentier, Lalee Yang and Luke Dockendorf finishing in 1:49.80. The Wolfpack team of Ethan Cole, Hayden Bonner, Tyler Cracauser and Paul Wallace finished 10th in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:46.77. Park finished the meet with a second place in the 400-yard freestyle relay as Yang, Dockendorf, Charpentier and Jeseritz clocked a 3:36.40 time.

Charpentier placed third in the 200-yard IM (2:16.94), Yang third in the 100-yard butterfly (59.72), Cole finished sixth in the 100-yard freestyle (52.58) and seventh in the backstroke (1:04.48).

Ethyn Schilling was fourth in diving (348.15), Carter Darling fifth (306.65) and Ehtan Space 10th (238.60).

Wallace was 10th in the breaststroke (1:13.98) and 20th in the 200-yard freestyle (2:15.02), Cracauser was 10th in the 200-yard IM (2:20.47), Yang was ninth in the 50 free (24.34) and Dockendorf 12th (25.02), Charpentier sixth in the butterfly (1:00.49), Bonner 10th in the butterfly (1:06.73), Parker Stueber was 13th in the 500 freestyle (5:58.86) and Will Mann 15th (6:02.35), Dockendorf was eighth in the backstroke (1:04.92).

Park hosts White Bear Lake Thursday, starting at 6 p.m. at Cottage Grove Middle School.

Park’s Ethyn Schilling (200.30 points) and Carter Darling (166.40) placed first and second on one-meter diving to lead Park Thursday in a dual meet at Woodbury.

Jeseritz won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 59.69 and was second in the 100-yard freestyle (53.01)

Cole was second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.38), Charpentier finished third in the 200-yard IM (2:17.78), Yang placed third in the 50 freestyle (24.43) and second in the 100-yard butterfly (59.79). Mann finished second in the 500 freestyle (6:01.15). Cole was third in the backstroke (1:08.24) and Wallace finished second in the breaststroke (1:11.88).

Park was third in the 200-yard medley relay (Jeseritz, Charpentier, Yang, Dockendorf) in 1:50.62, fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay (Wallace, Bonner, Morgan Byrnes, Mann) in 1:53.30 and third in the 400-yard freestyle relay (Yang, Charpentier, Dockendorf, Jeseritz) in 3:37.81.

Park third at True Team meet

Park finished third in the Boys Section 3AA True Team race with 967 points at Two Rivers High School on Jan. 11.

East Ridge finished with 1,438 points in first, followed by: 2, Eagan, 1,360; 3, Park, 967; 4, Rosemount, 872; 5, Two Rivers, 845; 6, Hastings, 824; and 7, Apple Valley, 780.

Jeseritz was fifth in the 200-yard IM (2:11.49) and fourth in the 100-yard backstroke (59.53), Yang eighth in the 50 freestyle (24.40) and sixth in the butterfly (59.75), Schilling seventh in diving (308.20), Cole ninth in the 100-yard freestyle (55.17), Wallace finished sixth in the breaststroke (1:12.35) and Park was fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with the team of Yang, Dockendorf, Charpentier and Jeseritz (3:36.18).
