Next up in the candidate rehash is Katie Schwartz, an incumbent seeking reelection. Living in St. Paul Park with her husband Tony and three of her four kids, Schwartz has several kids in the district schools, touting this as giving her a “vested interest” in the district. With a Facebook presence at “Katie Schwartz – South Washington County School Board,” the current incumbent positions herself as a question asker, who also has had to deal with sign vandalism.
“It is sad that this is the world we live in,” she says on Facebook of those choosing to act illegally and outside the voting booth. As to board experience, she has several years.
“I have been on the board almost eight years and during that time I have asked the tough questions and will continue to do so,” Schwartz shared recently from the SWCTC Youtube channel. “My number one priority is to see that students have what they need to succeed,” she says, asking for consideration on November 2.
