A city resident will soon compete in Minnesota Sings 2022.
Anna Blasy, age 14 of Cottage Grove, has qualified to compete in the Ninth Annal Minnesota Sings Amateur Vocal Competition, which will be held in New Ulm, Minnesota this weekend from Oct. 1` to 2, at the State Street Theater.
The contest will feature singers in two divisions, the first division for ages 13 – 20 and a second for ages 21 and over. Participants will be competing for a total of $20,000 in cash and musical equipment prizes. Each singer qualified through a local Sings audition event and each Minnesota city is eligible to advance two singers in each division to the state event.
