Chloe Micek swam to two individual victories, while Grace Sahli and the 200-yard medley relay team had one to lead the Wolfpack swim and dive team against Cretin-Derham Hall Thursday at Cottage Grove Middle School.

Park’s divers went 1-3-4 in the meet, led by Ruby Igl’s score of 194.85. Isabelle Brown was third (174.90) and Alice Wood fourth (167.00).

Micek finished first in both the 200-yard IM (2:26.80), the 500-yard freestyle and also swam the leadoff leg in the 200-yard medley relay. That team of Micek, Grace Sahli, Eraya Nybakken and Evelyn Sahli won in a time of 2:03.05.

Grace Sahli won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:07.71 and was third in the 200-yard freestyle (2:20.35).

"This is a lot better than our last meet," said Park co-head coach Arachi O'Brien. "I think a lot of the girls were putting in more effort, more intensity, so I'm really proud of all of them.

"It was odd events for everyone and despite that we had some really good times," O'Brien continued. "Some decent efforts. I'm happy with everyone. I'd say it's early in the season and endurance is still a big problem for our girls. A lot of them are having a hard time maintaining that intensity but the fact that I'm seeing it is a great sign and being able to maintain it is our next step then."
Cretin won the team battle, 118-68.

Evelyn Sahli was second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:22.30) and fourth in the 50 freestyle (29.77), Melanie Grochow fourth in the 100 freestyle (1:11.79), Eraya Nybakken third in the backstroke (1:16.83),

Park’s team of Micek, Grace Sahli, Ava Elthon and Evelyn Sahli were second in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:53.93. The Wolfpack foursome of Katelyn Norgaard, Elthon, Lia Boudouris and Lya Kopp finished third in the final 400-yard freestyle relay in 4:48.64.

Park competes against Suburban East Conference rival Woodbury Thursday at Oltman Middle School, then goes to the Tartan Invitational Saturday.
